Sydney Pollack, who made a long career as a director and an actor, has passed away. You might remember for example his films Out of Africa, Firm and Tootsie.
His last film as a director was Scetches of Frank Gehry, a film about his friend, architect Frank Gehry, the designer of the Guggenheim in Bilbao and the Vitra Museum in Germany.
Laundry warmly recommends the documentary. It's easily one of the best we've seen in a while.
