If you happen to love cars and racing but the thought of carbon emissions gives you the creeps - look no further! The solution is simple: Build a racing center in your living room (or meeting room like we've done)!
Here's what you need:
- HD plasma or LCD
- Surround sound system
- XBOX 360
- The Microsoft Wireless Steering Wheel
- A racing seat by Playseats (we have not invested in this one yet but it's in the plans...)
It's never been a better time to enjoy racing in your home due to the lovely power of the next generation of HD capable video consoles.
Especially the XBOX360 caters to the car fanatics with the amazing Forza 2 that has left us speechless. The graphics are photorealistic, the sounds are out of this world, the physics modelling will satisfy even the craziest car tuning nut and the cars and tracks are modelled to perfection.
Laundry's favorite car games at the moment:
But be warned...the experience is guaranteed to be OH SO rewarding that you might just lose a big portion of your life to this new carbon neutral racing hobby.
In case someone missed it the first trailer of Rockstar Games's upcoming new entry to the Grand Theft Auto franchise is out. It's the first GTA episode that is made for the new generation of HD consoles (XBOX360 and PS3) and it is already looking so amazing that I've let everyone at the office know that I'll have two weeks of when it is released. No life, no work - just GTA.
Combining movie-like storytelling and a sense of freedom and "do what the hell you want" attitude and throwing in styling never before seen in a videogame GTA is the game series that almost singlehandedly moved gaming to the mainstream of pop culture. Try it and lose your life to it. It's that good :)
It's amazing to think that really in just a few years gaming has grown from a few guys and some computers to being bigger than the film industry (music industry to follow soon...stay tuned). It's huge and it is influencing the life of hundreds of millions of people in a profoundly deep new way that's not possible in any other media.
Get on board now if you haven't already. The brands of tomorrow are in the game :)
