What better way to get to know the lovely Liberty City than by browsing the sights discovered and listed by the GTAIV community using the very very cool Liberty City "Wiki-map" created by IGN.com and powered by (who else) Google.
We like. As we do the game. Pretty amazing stuff.
Still: We feel that game developers are not yet pushing the envelope as much as they could in combining the real world and the game world...pretty much all consoles are connected to the web nowadays in some way or other offersing so much potential for innovation. Yet another case where marketing innovation should be integrated to R&D. Some day...
An early Laundry -friend sent me this article from O'Reilly Radar. Adam Messinger discusses innovation in business models. Makes you wonder about ad agencies and lack of innovation. Doesn't it.
It's amazing to think that really in just a few years gaming has grown from a few guys and some computers to being bigger than the film industry (music industry to follow soon...stay tuned). It's huge and it is influencing the life of hundreds of millions of people in a profoundly deep new way that's not possible in any other media.
Get on board now if you haven't already. The brands of tomorrow are in the game :)
